COMMUNICATING COAST TO COAST

Pamela Arya brings more than 20 years’ experience developing specialized satellite solutions for the Dept. of Defense and Intelligence Community.  Her expertise includes cloud technologies, data analytics, geospatial and satellite data, and cyber network operations.

 

At Iridium, Ms. Arya is responsible for developing and leading projects to provide innovative uses of Iridium’s satellites and data for Iridium’s government customers.  Under her stewardship, Iridium and the USG launched the Enhanced SBD (ESBD) service on the EMSS gateway. This is the first Iridium service to offer TRANSEC protection. Most recently, Ms. Arya led the capture of Iridium’s team for the winning GDMS-Iridium SDA O&I proposal bid.

 

Prior to joining Iridium, Ms. Arya was an Executive Director for Applied Minds Inc., a research and development company in Los Angeles specializing in creating a range of new products and services in software, entertainment, electronics, biotechnology, and mechanical design.  Ms. Arya was a 2001 NRO Technology Fellow placed at NRO AS&T. Ms. Arya was awarded the IEEE Computer Society Outstanding Contribution Award for her work on interoperable data structure standards.  Ms. Arya holds a Bachelor of Science in Geo-Physics from Brown University, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University
