CUTTING-EDGE VERSUS CURRENT TECHNOLOGIES

Over the past twenty-two years, Mr. Kirk has been involved in every aspect of US DOD satellite communications. He is currently the chief Satellite Communications and International Partners for USSPACECOM J36, overseeing global SATCOM operations.  He has served in Army, industry, and government civilian roles in satellite communications payload and transmissions operations, design, systems engineering, testing, requirements, analysis, and policy. He started in SATCOM in payload and transmissions management during Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom, later stood up the Wideband Global SATCOM constellation, multiple satellite control facilities, led the performance effectiveness analysis working group for the Department of Defense’s wideband communications services analysis of alternatives, and sponsored, led, or been a core member of many Capabilities Based Assessments, Joint Capabilities Technologies Demonstrations, operational assessments, program development and fielding, Operational Plan development, and operationalization of capabilities across the joint force.
